I bought 2 motherboards as untested, more like dead but seller mentioned he couldn't get POST on ASUS and second MSI MS-6117 didn't react at all (due to torn CPU fan plug and lots of scratches under that visibly break traces and some missing components) and when I test I see it reacts correctly to power however PSU fan doesn't start and CPU is cold. I've read in manual for older revision that it supports PII 500MHz max and I have some older Celerons with supposedly compatible slocket (I have to test CPUs and that none at all jumpers slocket) and PIII 500 MHz, my good acquaintance told me their Slot1 mobo accepts 2.0V PII and doesn't react with PIII 2.oV but for them PSU fan works. That mobo looks realy good, no visible damages, all condensators look good, none bulges or leaks so I have no idea, maybe I should get Pentium 2? I assume BIOS isn't the newest as I got to know that mobo was lying around for years.

Asus P2B works fine with Katmai PIII CPU's (100MHz FSB).

No many ideas, try to reset BIOS, change battery, clean RAM and CPU sockets.

I have a similar one being repaired, the first thing I would do is check the voltages present on the mosfets, but you have to know what you are doing, if you are not practical you run the risk of damaging something.

However if you can put some pictures, it would help to understand what condition it is in, and if there is something wrong with the jumpers.

There's no the inductor L16. It won't work. It's better to compare your mainboard to pictures in Internet. Maybe you will find something more.

@Roman555 thanks, now I know why it doesn't work and it couldn't. 😁 I'll try to put something there if I'll find.

Ok, soldering mising component fixed mobo but I used staying inductor instead of lying but hopefully it doesn't touch processor's cooling. 😀

What file to use to update? I have version from attachment.
