Anyone has a driver for S3 Trio3D/2X PCI card?

The generic s3 trio3d/2x drivers handle it as an AGPcard. Every 3d api initialization causes system hang.
If i disable AGP texturing in dxdiag, and disable agp in powerstrip. Then SOME game start to work, but most of them crashes or very buggy (i am aware of the quality of these cards, i have an AGP S3 Trio3D/2x as well, so i can see what games should start up).

I was not able to find any driver for the PCI version.
Probably the root cause of these issues are the drivers.
Anyone has an experience with these cards?

Which OS?

W9x10028.zip for 9x
33010nt4.zip for NT4
53005.ZIP for 2K

See my graphics card database at www.gpuzoo.com
Constantly being worked on. Feel free to message me with any corrections or details of cards you would like me to research and add.

Thankyou. I have noticed the bugs with win98se. I have tested the w9x10028.zip driver myself back then, which you have just linked (the stability bugs were present with this).

Are you sure these drivers worked for you? Then this is maybe a hardware error, or an incompatibility with the ALI chipset i was trying in.

I haven't tried them yet, but they came from the S3 site on the Wayback Machine

Yes those are the same files listed on S3 archive. I did find one as in only 1 pci vid card with that same main chip with a picture. Another is the Jaton Video-81
Manli DH813 but nothing on their .com.hk or just .com archives about it, only a ref to an AGP version

I found a slightly newer version Win98 driver 10037, about 6 months newer and has slightly larger S3LC2X .dll, .drv and .vxd...it is missing the .CAT file from 10028 but all other files are there.
edit - fixed some grammer

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Thankyou, i have tried that package as well, and it was crashing just like that. I also have tried uninstalling the motherboards agp drivers without luck. Maybe i should try it in a motherboard without an AGP port. If it still produces the same problem, i think i will trash the card.

My problem is a PCI card with 8 MByte. Its probably identical to the Manli DH813 on the picture.
