Hey everyone,

I've tried periodically to figure out this old menu system that I remember as a kid.

I think that the PC would boot to this menu, instead of going to the command line. You could then select things you want to execute, right from the menu.

It was mostly red, pretty basic. Might have been red and black, or red and black with some tan? Can't remember exactly.

It had 2 sections to the screen I think. It was all navigated with the keyboard.

This memory has haunted me forever, so if anyone can brainstorm some names / point me in the right dirrection, that would be awesome!

Thanks,
Matt

That actually looks familiar! I kind of don't think it was the one, but it's possible. Or, at least I think I've also seen that one. Either way, I'll probably end up trying it out, thank you!

I don't think it was this one, but it looks like a good tool! Thanks!

DOS Access menu ?

The older versions kind of look like your description.

Direct Access 5 used to be pretty ubiquitous, but it's surprisingly difficult to find footage of it anymore.
