My $30 EVGA refurbished (EVGA B stock) NV 6200 512Mb AGP (P/N: 512-A8-N403-RX) card came today.
"e-GeForce 6200 AGP, 350MHz GPU Clock, 512MB Memory, 532MHz Memory Clock"
Was really hoping for a better, more retail like box but is OK. Will test it later, has 1 year warranty.
Is an 8x AGP capable card but has onboard V.regs and is supposed to work in all AGP motherboards...
or should I say: supposed to work in 0.8v, 1.5v or 3.3v AGP, we will see 😀

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Doesn't get much better than this.

Anyone know if opl4 daughterboards were ever made?

I have the exact same card, I can't say it is an excellent card - at least mine has a lot of ISA bus interference and some compatibility issues with games.

Well I have only just starting playing with it, but the chips are usually pretty good on other cards, including perfect opl clone. I tried MI1, Doom1/2, Heretic with no issues.

The dell you should open like a book.
I think there is a push switch on the top and bottom to release.

I somehow found retro (well...the Dell isn't quite so retro, but it's over 15 years old now so that counts for something) computers today going out to yard sales and the local flea market. A Dell Precision 340 (Socket 478 with RDRAM) and a Compaq Presario 5340 (CPU currently unknown, haven't tested it yet and it doesn't have a helpful sticker). How the heck do you actually reach the motherboard on these Presarios, do you have to remove the power supply?

I haven't posted in this thread for a while but I thought this latest find was worth sharing...

Non-working but in incredible condition... it looks like it's never been used 🤯

While I wait for customs, who have taken hostage a valuable card I am due, this beautiful box arrived.

ooh nice, definitly worth a try at fixing...

speaking of fixing stuff, I got something for the lab :3c
pretty sure this qualifies as retro hardware.
it's "only a B" model... not a 16500C like shelby from tech tangents presented on youtube, but I got it relatively cheap and hey, I'll take what I can get, but it's lacking PS/2 ports like the newer one, so I'll have to make do with HP-HIL wich adds a certain charme imo 😀
...still looking for a HIL keyboard, they don't seem to pop up very often, I did find a mouse already though ^^
but until then that beautiful Trinitron touchscreen should do nicely.

it's fully loaded with following cards:
HP 16520A 50 Mbit/s pattern generator
HP 16530A/16531A 2-channel 400ms/s 100Mhz scope acquisition and timebase card
2x HP 16550A 100Mhz state 500Mhz timig logic analyzer cards
a whole bunch of cables, though I think it's missing some important ones unfortunately
and some folders with a lot of reading material ^^
...got some learning to do 😁

Very nice Kyro collection there.

Fan/Heatsink combo I got off ebay arrived similar to that used on Canopus cards.

Me too, hercules included those in all boxes of that periode, ATI, Nvidia and Kyro to my knowledge.

Got these two motherboards from a website called Alltronics (can't find the thread about them, did it get deleted/moved?) sold as a "mystery box" item called "Bad Mothers", basically pay $20 and get a random old as-is motherboard. I bought the last two they had in stock and ended up with these: an extremely interesting Socket 4 board with VLB and OPTi chipset and a much less interesting Compaq branded Slot 1 motherboard.

Anyone ever heard of an Acermate 433? Just bought this thing, probably paid too much, but it does power on and complains about not having a disk. Won't be delivered to me for a while, but itching to know more about it.

The model is elusive as hell. There's a bit of info online about the 386 variants, and the 486 model, but not the 433, which I'm assuming is a 485 SX 33 or something.

Anyone got any idea?

This is the best picture I could get of it. Thanks.

I would guess it's a 486SX 33 or 486DX 33 as well. No idea beyond that, no idea what Acer made.
