I just ordered a few AOpen Cobra YMF-744 sound cards on eBay knowing that they do not have the SB-Link header installed. I am planning on possibly using one on a new DirectX 7.0 build and I would like the SB-Link to work for late DOS games and just because.
It looks like the header (IDC 6-pin) and at least two SMD componets (capacitors and/or resistors) will need to be installed. Anyone done something similar or know the values of the missing components?
