How would I edit the selection of new files. I wanr ro edit my right click new selection of files to choose.

Very interesting question... before I answer with a lot of sarcasm, how about you edit your post to have it make sense (like what operating system, which program you are using, which files and so on). The way your post is now I'm sure it makes sense to you but please remember other people have not gone through the same experience and thoughts that lead you to this question....

I am using windows xp and I want to edit the selection of files to choose from like zip file and new folder when I use right click and go down to new.

ShellNew key in the Registry

simplest way to edit the item list (without running regedit) imho is surely using MS TweakUI tool from Powertoys for XP.
