So when I start the game with dgVoodoo, a splash screen shows up at a low resolution (bypassing dgVoodoo for some reason) and then the game just closes. Natively with DX8, works just fine without any crashes, albeit at a very low framerate during gameplay on Windows 10 (sometimes even below 10 fps). I wonder if this can be patched in dgVoodoo or not.

Well for starters it's a DX9 game, not a DX8 game:

So if you're copying D3D8.dll, it shouldn't do anything at all (no clue why it crashes), you need to copy D3D9.dll. Which works fine here.

Edit: it crashes because of ddraw.dll , remove it as it is not needed.

Yeah my bad, it uses DirectX 9. I tried with D3D9.dll instead with dgVoodoo, and the same thing happens. It won't work anyway, thanks for the answer.

Did you make sure ddraw.dll wasn't in the game directory? Did you try with a clean dgVoodoo.conf in the game directory?

Yes, I deleted all dgVoodoo files, and put D3D9.dll, dgVoodoo.cpl and a new dgVoodoo.conf as well, it still doesn't work. I tried all possible configs in DirectX tab in the dgVoodoo control panel, and nothing works. Check it out:

I still can't get it to work on Win 11. May I know how you did it?
