I have had a Compaq 35/70 GB DLT Tape drive that I have not really known how to connect to my computer (running 98SE) as I don't really know anything about SCSI devices. I know I need a controller card that supports 32-bit Fast-Wide SCSI-2 or Wide-Ultra but not really sure what card to get (what connectors do I need present on the card, drive termination??). Any info will help, thanks.

Your Compaq 35/70 GB DLT Tape drive has a LVD SCSI connector.

So it is recommended to use a LVD SCSI controller.
So try to get an Adaptec 2940U2W or 19160. Then you need a LVD SCSI cable with terminator. That's all.
