if the status from GR post is "For dispatch abroad" it actually means it already left via plane and is in between countries ... the translation they chose for this status is very confusing - the Greek message actually translates to "dispatched abroad" meaning it's already left the GR Post hands

Mine arrived a few weeks ago, with a X16GS included

Now it's fully installed and working in my 'I have to exaggerate'-build.

Got mine today too. It is truly beautiful piece of work. Much thanks for allowing me to squeeze in to the pre-orders at the last minute.

I am really looking forward to playing around with it over the holidays with my new Abit BH6 Pentium II (or maybe III, not sure yet) build. I'm going all out on this build.

it's just busy xmas time - some more patience is required 😀
as a sidenote I do not recall ever losing a package - I had a couple or returns->resends but nothing serious so far

I have the Orpheus II now fully working in DOS, but Windows 98SE remains problematic.

The sound works in Windows 98, but none of the games I launch from Windows have sound. These are games like Need For Speed: Porsche or Unreal Tournament.

I also noticed this in System Properties:

I had a bizarre issue with my Orpheus II where I could hear Windows sound effects but nothing from games or Media Player. I couldn't figure out how to fix it without reinstalling Windows. That got everything working again.

A 2nd soundcard for windows is not needed - that is what the "orpheus2 system codec" device is for: sound and SB for dos-in-windows support
It is possible drivers with previous soundcard get in the way like Kahenraz mentioned

Yes, my system had various other sound cards installed previously and its state was not clean at the time of install. With Windows 9x there is so integrity validation so, when in doubt, try a clean reinstall.

Thank you Keropi and Kahenraz for your feedback. I managed to solve the issue simply by reinstalling the Orpheus Windows drivers. Now sound works both in Windows and in Windows installed games.

we did not move forward with this at all , probably if we will the "lpt dac" option will get removed though
