No fancy lights or posters I’m afraid folks, just me trying to fit too many PCs under a desk.

486 DOS 6.22
Pentium Win95
P II 98SE
P III W2k
P4 XP

Sony multiscan 200ES
Belkin Omniview Pro KVM

…and a 2013 iMac I guess.

(I know it’s really basic having the “LGR speakers” but I swear I had them long before I knew what that was!)

Too many? You can clearly get two more horizontal desktops and a SFF unit on top of the shortarse. 🤣

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

This is the computing area for my "Ultimate" gaming PCs. The slim black PC is running Windows XP. Out of view (below) is a Win98 PC. I switch between the two with a KVM. The screen is a 15" 1024x768 LCD. The XP PC dual boots into Linux, and I use that OS for general web browsing and watching videos on youtube. I also use it to play music on Spotify.

I realise that this screen is not considered "Ultimate" but I wanted something small that would fit in this area. These PCs are mostly for use if I want to just quickly play something when having a lunch break (I work from home).

This is a new part of my "computing area", sort of adjacent I suppose. I put up some storage racking recently so I can finally put all of my builds in one place, along with some spares. It's good because organised, but bad because this is getting out of hand 😅

Very nice! You've made me realise that my Lian-Li needs one of those silver DVD-ROMs - never see them for sale though. I could spray one I suppose.

I might have some laying around in my collection, send me a DM to remind me looking for it if you're interested.

Why not hook it up to a KVM switch?

When bought new CD/DVD drive in a box, it usually had covers of different color (beige, black, silver) you could swap.

Requests here!

I managed to find a silver cdrom from an eBay seller in WA. I got the silver floppy drive from a eBay seller in the UK for pretty cheap.

Now I get need a silver removable hard drive bay 🤣

Definitely keep a look out on eBay etc the silver drives are around, that's where all of mine have come from. Optical drives seem to have a high failure rate these days though, a lot of sellers don't test them properly. But of course some silver spray paint is an easy solution too if you don't mind covering up any original printed logos.

Lian Li did make removable HDD drive bays but I haven't seen any that aren't beige or SCSI, so not much use (not to me at least).

I've got another Lian Li basically new in box not shown (PC-7 I think from memory) and another new old stock PC-60 (later model with vertical LED lighting on the front) on the way as long as the seller actually ships it. Can't help myself 😅🤦‍♂️

Have you got a golden Lian case?

Maybe previously owner spray painted it?

Wow that looks nice. If i had to guess, anodized aluminium parts and hydro-dipped plastic bits on the front. Very cool. The only similar thing I'm aware of is the 'copper' version Lian Li did - https://hexus.net/tech/news/chassis/8986-lian … pensive-copper/

Thankyou for the offer! Shipping to AU would be a deal breaker for me I’m afraid.

Well, a quick look showed that rates from Germany via DHL start at 18,49 €, that's definetely more than I would ask for the drive itself. Maybe there are cheaper options, but you're surely right that it still would be a deal breaker. Too bad.

I've been lucky enough to find one locally, thanks again for the offer though 👍

Now that they are clean, VERY gold (anodized).

I wish I had the sheet from my OG PC60 Plus, that listed the accessories. I have a few of these flapper-doors (I remove the "real" drive face, if possible). And a floppy face that hides whatever you're packin'.

Love to see these! They clean up so well most of the time. Looks like you have a collection going on too?? I find the accessories really hard to get hold of now. I have a couple of the optical drive covers but not the floppy drive one, that's nice. I've got a new old stock PC-6083A arriving today which will hopefully have an accessory listing sheet in it which I'll share if I can 😀

Yeeeah! That's the slip that came with my PC-60 Plus way back when. I could never remember the model of that funky Horizontal one; I've definitely wanted one of those. The PC-35. So cool, Thanks!

And yeah, unintentionally got a collection going on. They just house everything so well. My PC-65 Has a 12600k and A770 intel combo and actually is thermally acceptable. The only outliar Lian-Li I have is the X-500, which is kinda massive and doesn't vibe with the boxy ones.

Here they are (ex the x500, it's inaccessible): My PC60 plus has been around the block, 🤣 even stickers on left side and top.

These Shinny Silver Aluminum case are Very Addictive.
Once you build in these you don’t want to build in metal cases again.

I have a collection myself including the Lian Li Snail case.
Wish I had more.
I have some case NEW in Box.
I only started collecting about 4 years ago but these are getting harder to find today in USA
And have become more expensive.
