hello i have a problem on my windows 3.11 machine on PCem i have setup it whit 486sx16 whit 8mb of ram but i had lowered it to 4mb but then i brougth it back at 8mb it cant load programs it gives me a krnl386.exe general security error or the programs dont lauch end i have to ctrl+alt+del to close that program or windows goese all stuck end i have to force it to reboot how i fix this?

It's emulated.
Just delete it and start again.
It's not worth anyones time to solve.

but i dont want to reinstall everything there is another way?

Did you try deleting the swap file?

That occurred to me too, but you got in first.

Delete C:\386SPART.PAR after removing the System and Hidden attributes. Then have a look in the Windows folders for any file with .SWP extension and delete that too.

Norton Commander can display and delete hidden files, too.
Except if they're protected, like that DoubleSpace image file and its config files. Then, attrib has to be used.

Removing the "a" attribute has no purpose if you're going to delete the file anyways.
