My CRT front face panel are not working and i cant adjust the geometry and Im too scared to open the monitor. It’s a 486 machine with built in Wingine DCX onboard display.

As you can see, its too squashed i cannot use the panel to adjust.

The attachment IMG_6231.jpeg is no longer available

However i tried using a utility from Trident VGA called TVGACRTC.exe which can adjust the geometry by Software. Since This computer are not using Trident card it doesnt save the settings.

The attachment IMG_6237.jpeg is no longer available

Is there other monitor utility i could use to adjust the geometry and probably load it in config.sys ?

I think UniVBE/SDD included something called "UNICENTER"...

Ok got it ! How does it work ? I made the changes and save the setting . Does it work as TSR ? How do i boot with the settings ?

Thanks. I did the the adjustment for all the modes and added univbe into autoexec.bat but once i exit to dos, the command prompt screen or Norton Commander itself are not adjusted as per what i did in Unicentr .

My guess is that those adjustment will only be applicable when the games utilize univbe but not others such as command prompt or Norton Commander

I guess nobody expected that standard VGA modes might need adjustment.
Traditionally, only SVGA modes needed that.
