There seems to be very little information about this card on the internet, so if anyone is interested in a specific test or benchmark, let me know.

I have no clue what the DIP switch on the bottom of the board does, I'll try to mess with it later.
Proper 16-bit color support?

around 2007-2008 S3 had the Chrome line, 400 and 500 series which was a DX10 GPU more or less competing against the 8400GS

Thank you I didn't know. I suppose it's not easy to find nowadays.
17500 points in 3DM01 is not bad. That's about the same performance as a 5800 Ultra or a Radeon 9700. Any idea what a competitor from the same time scores? I guess I have an 8400GS or something similar laying around, if you don't.
I would like to see results from any games relevant at the time that haven't been tested yet.

Can you be a bit more specific?

I don't have any cards from that generation to compare it with.

Any suggestions?

16-bit dithering.

For 3Dmark01 that's pretty close to a GeForce 210. I remember getting 18 thousand and something on the GF210, and 24 thousand on a Radeon HD 4550. It's interesting that the S3 card has GDDR2 chips on it. Maybe they were soaking up the remaining stock after ATI and nVidia had already moved on to GDDR3.
edit: on second thought, I'm not sure if that is 'real' GDDR2, since the data sheet shows the same voltage as normal DDR2. They call it "gDDR2" with lowercase 'g'...
