CPU: AMD athlon XP 2800+
Mobo: Asus A7N8X-X - NVIDIA nForce2 400 rev C1 / NVIDIA nForce2 MCP rev A4
RAM: 1gb (512X2) Dual channel (DDR--400)
GPU: Radion 9800 XXL 128mb
Microsoft Windows XP
Soundcard: Sound Blaster Audigy 2

This started as a free PC i got many years ago (case\ram\cpu\mobo\psu), i tinkered with it quite a bit over the years and 1 year ago i also started working on the case, 1 week ago i finally finished the last piece and now the PC finally feels complete.
It's a recreation of the PC i had back in 2002 but not perfect recreation, i got similar but better pieces (9800 instead of 9700 pro and athlon XP instead of P4)

“9800 XXL” smells like Medion OEM to me. Possibly downclocked.
Is it really better than 9700?

No, it's actually much better, it's slightly less powerful than a 9800XT but like 10%, the top of the 9000 series wasn't lame even in oem form lemme tell you.

I could up the clock up by 22hz for the core and up by 54 for the memory and it would be literally a 9800xt, it's not even worth it powerful as it is.
