If using as DOS video cards, using socket 5 and 7 motherboards if bios works then how is it with dos era games?

What games were you wanting to play?
Thing is the onboard S3 Trio is a pretty good match for a 233MMX if we are excluding 3dfx/Glide
Realistic alternative's would be something like Matrox Mystique or Millennium or ATI Rage or Rage Pro
None of these are considered very good for 3d titles though but the CPU holds you back making faster cards a bit pointless even if you do find a PCI version.
DOS games that are not using 3D portion.

I use a Riva 128 PCI in one, and an S3 Virge/DX in the other both seem to be fine for a Pentium 233
