Folks help me out save this stuff from a landfill. Do you notice anything worth keeping? (More will come.....) https://imgur.com/a/0dhPBFo I can't get everything. I don't have the space 😜 Thanks!

Matrox Mystique 220 (The PCI card at the beginning) and the cirrus logic cards are really nice to have. Trident Blade3D is a nice under-dog from the era. You also got a nice and rare 3DFX Banshee in there (the all-gold PCB and heatsink)

I would leave all the cards without brackets, all the S3 Trio3D, all the SiS, all the Tridents, and take everything else. Although the correct answer is: if you really don't have the space bring them all anyway and sell/donate a few afterwards.

There are a bunch of brackets in the box that belong to the cards. So there is a good chance most of the cards have the corresponding bracket!

Haven't tested it yet, but based on a brief physical inspection it seems to be in good shape.

Imagine someone posting on vintage Car forum about a stack of old used tires - landfill is precisely where 90% of this belongs 😐
The only interesting cart in there is GeForce2 Ultra (edit: and banshee because of 3dfx tax), rest are all in '$10 on ebay and nobody buying' category
Those are the cards people in "worst AGP card" threads fan over, like Worst fastest early 3D cards or Slow 3D video card on super socket 7 shootout (sis 305, savage4, trident blade3d, riva tnt, etc)
The only non crappy (but still useless) are Rage128pros, first ATI chip that actually worked ok in games, and tnt2 m64s. Those belong to "Ill build slow vintage computer on purpose" category. Maaaybe Radeon SDR and 7000 also count here.
PCI cards have some utility so I would not throw those away, 4MB Virge, even 2MB CL or matrox

Ouch.
Personally, I don't want to be lumped in with the people that would consider everything that isn't rare to be "old used tires".
There's a pretty large variety of cards here and all can be fun to tinker with depending on what you want to do. PCI cards are definitely a bit more desirable because they work in a larger variety of systems... but if someone doesn't already have one of everything and has an interest in just throwing a card in a PC to see what it can do, they could grab a bunch of these and experience a lot of different hardware (and drivers!) without having to gather cards for years.

Without knowing how much you have to pay for these or how much space you have, I'd say grab any of the PCI and ISA video cards, grab the AGP cards with the most memory chips (this is an extremely general way to identify the cards that aren't absolute lowest budget models), then grab a variety of the others that look to be in good condition or have high build quality. Grab some SIS cards, some TNTs, some ATi and Matrox cards... I also see at least a couple of Intel 740s there as well.
Again, this depends greatly on how much you're paying for them and how much that money matters to you ($5 is significant to some, yet insignificant to others).
Don't take anything with leaky or swollen capacitors unless you are interested in repairing things. Don't expect any of them to be worth a bunch of money, other than maybe the Geforce 2 Ti (decently valuable if it works, but that fan is likely toast), and to a lesser extent the Voodoo Banshee (gold card with gold heatsink).

Keep at least one S3 Trio3D/2X card despite their terrible 3D capabilities, they are very underrated for DOS.

The fairly large gold/yellow soldermask AGP card with 8 RAM chips on the front and marking AGP-3F10 seems to be a chaintech Voodoo Banshee card, so you need that one. Beyond that there's a nice FX5200 with a chaintech logo on the fan and personally I would take that if it's cheap. And the one that others have pointed out is that Geforce 2 card with the blue heatsinks, that's a nice one.
Oh and that Matrox MGA card with the PCI interface is one I'd keep.

Sadly thats precisely what it is, Firestone 500 tires you would find on a Pinto (https://www.wardsauto.com/ford/together-again … n-the-headlines). Cards bundled with cheapest supermarket computers aimed at home offices, students and first time uneducated buyers. Nobody was using most of those cards on purpose, you simply ended up with one before you even knew what graphic card was and what it did to your computers ability to play games 😀
Nowadays they are good for a few minutes of laughs over glitchy games at 5-10 fps. 3/4 of the collection is a who is who of

which one is the 3dfx banshee? please provide link to .jpg i genuinely cant tell them apart and even after googling the name i have zero clue. i get pictures of cards with the same name but that look completely different????????
only thing i can tell apart is agp from pci. i will save the pci ones. the geforce 2 hercules is a Ti. not quite an ultra but a nice card nevertheless

thank you, got it! that was hard to google xD if you search "voodoo banshee" you get completely different looking cards. chaintech helped
it has no bracket but i am confident it's in the box.

Thank you for the help! Are these cards significantly rare or just "ok enough to keep"? (just so that I have an idea of how much I should pay for them)

The 3dfx and the first Matrox cards are quite rare. The rest aren't, but are quite useful if you want to have a retro machine.

Does anyone else like old Lenovo Thinkpad machines ? not sure if this counts as 100% retro but its Core2 era so close enough !
Saw this W700 on Evilbay for 100 AUD and it looks really clean so I snapped it up, it needs a new battery and two new HDD caddies and a pair of SSDs but aside from that its in good nick. The caddies and covers should be super easy to get and I have a ton of spare SSDs sitting around I can throw in it.
Im not sure if the CPU can be upgraded but I have a X9000 here that may fit it, but if not then a faster T series CPU wont be hard to get either.
It really only caught my attention because of the 17" screen and full size keyboard, dont see many Thinkpads with huge screens.

I wouldn't say the Matrox card is rare and neither is the 3DFXcard, they are however quite expensive for what they are and the Matrox arguably has the best 2d Image output you will find in a retro GPU, the Voodoo is only expensive due tot he 3DFX tax but aside from that its pretty run of the mill as far as Banshee cards go
The 3D Prophet II is a rather nice Geforce 2 card, worth having around.

only two cards out of everything are worth paying anything, maybe ~5 others are worth not throwing away if you get them for free.
