interesting other stuff too, cool sound gear, nice jvc speakers and monitor and what's that on floor at the centre? Looks like two fdds and a cd reader set upright on the box, maybe i'm not seeing it right

Its a Fujitsu FM Towns that needs repair.
Here is my XP "retro"machine wall art. Hopefully someone else besides the cat and I appreciate it! 😁

Wut ? No CD player ?? A sacrilege IMHO.
Or.... is it hidden inside than large black 'box' in the top left corner ? 🤔
Kudos for the USB floppy though! 🤣
So, when people (or catz!) 'disturb' you in person during your 'progress' - despite the stern warning (me assuming that door hanger is heavily used!), what comments do you get on that fancy black IKEA art collage there ? Do they even understand what it all is ?
(..those fans could easily be mistaken for a severly underpowered air condition system for your desk/work station)
PS: I am also expecting those 10.000 RPMs and all those fans will make the whole thing lift off 🛩️ at some point.
Or at least vibrate so much that the whole thing comes flying down.

🤣 Nope, no IDE CD-Rom Yet, although that is in the works. I have a USB External that i use currently 😁.
Its actually really securely set on the wall! and the fans/HDD are really stable. Good catch on the IKEA Peg board 🤣!.
I don't mind being bothered to much during a gaming session, but some day that cat is going to kick out some of my pci cards on the bottom... 🙁

There are two more midi devices: One Roland SC88 and one Roland CM500 😀 . Probably, I am going to connect them with Macintosh computers 😀 .

Thank you 👍. It doesn't belong here but here's a photo of me and Rhino from Ross the boss live last Monday 😀

Honestly, I'm just super jelly about that sweet WIn95 mouse pad!

Over the weekend, I revamped my living quarters to accommodate all my little beige friends. I like having them all plugged in at the same time, so this area is a challenge. They are also all connected to each other on the netwok (a couple with Serial cables as well)
Lots going on, but starting on the left : ZEOS 486/MMX stack. P5B "D_Demon" on the floor, then Dell Dim 4100 "4D_Demon" with the S2390 "Tyan_Demon" under it. Then one of the most important systems, since I use it for everything; The M2N-E, aka "AMDemon". slightly out-of-frame is a modern guy, "Cyberdemon_107A"
Next to 107A is the X58 aka "Cyberdemon_Mk.XXIV" (all my computer were named after DOOM characters since I was a kid). On the desk is "Royal_Demon_Mk3"; the one I'm using to write this.
Jeez. Too many computers, 🤣
The silver Lian-Li is the "ARC_Demon"; an all Intel affair. Next to it was my back-up, "Giga-Demon" basic-b*tch modern system. Next to that is "Cheap_Demon" 3gen Intel thing.
Then there's the Compaq Presario 5000, the "ME_Demon" running ME, of course. Under that is the DeskPRO 2000 "Compaq_Demon". Under THAT is a Compaq ML370 "Server_Demon_B". Next to those, a Compaq Armada M700 and a Presario 1800T
Lots of parts and a few empty cases around as well. Love to be surrounded by "the goods", makes me feel at home.
The workbench is put away right now, but that goes in there, too. I'm still working on individual build-sheets and photoshoots of my systems, so I'll be breaking them all down in a future post sometime.
"What the hell do all those things do?" you may ask. Heh. Nothing. AND something. As expected, 🤣
Main Loadout (daily drivers):
Intel TE430VX, Pentium Sy022 (133), Cirrus Logic 5440, SB16 Value
ECS K7S5A, A-XP1600+, MSI R9550
ASUS M2N-E, A64X2-4600+, PNY GTX670, SB X-Fi Elite Pro
MSI Z690, Intel 12900K, MSI RTX3090, SB AE-7

This is the kind of room I dreamed about in my teen's. Nice and full, but also well laid out.
These days I have IKEA pine shelves that hold 3 PC's per shelf, all hooked up to 3 KVM's. Saves space but doesn't look nearly as cool as your setup
Yah sheer numbers are gonna have me with stacks and KVMs, but think I'm gonna have a "Flavor of the month" spot on the smallest computer desk I've currently got, where I set one machine up fully with close to period monitor, keyboard, speakers, and swap it out every so often.
Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.
Work in progress. This picture was POC of using a video matrix to split the signal from my Win98 PC to a VGA monitor and HDMI monitor. Notebook in the middle was used to configure the video matrix.
