Anyone ? 😐
Thanks! 👍
You're welcome!
Just use the smallest amount. It's really easy to over do it.
C43 and C84 replaced
Traces are repaired as well. The wire is very thin, maybe too thin 😅!
But continuity is ok.
The card is now detected, by either bios listing the multimedia device, and windows asking for drivers.
I installed the drivers on a clean w95, but as soon as I try to test it I get an error. Something like failed to initialize hardware...
So, I went to DOS and did a mojo, here is the result :
TMU PowerOn Sense : 0xdead
Number TMUs: 57005
WARNING: Board 0: Bogus number of TMUs (57005)!
After looking over the forum I found this :
Voodoo 1 with "TMU PowerOn Sense: 0xdead", "Board 0: Bogus number of TMUs (57005)!" & "ERROR: b_sum=0x060 r_sum=0x030
The guy found eleven pins detached from the solder pads on the FBI chip.
So, I think I'll have to either check all the pins, or reflow the whole stuff ! 🫤
Today I recapped all the electrolytics and reflowed the FBI and TMU, cause I was too lazy to check all the pins ...
And BOOM !
It worked ! Now mojo is more reasonable 😁
Awesome! Nicely done!
