I have a laptop (haha, one laptop, who am I kidding) with decent SoundBlaster support, but the dock where the gameport lives is impossible to find.
I would be very interested in one of those cards with either a generic gameport/MIDI IO add-on card, or Bluetooth controller support à-la BlueRetro (https://github.com/darthcloud/BlueRetro).
Would be pretty interested. This opens so much possibilities, as the old PCMCIA sound cards are impossible to obtain. Pico would also allow implementing other kinds of adapters easily. Such a great work!
Very cool to see what it looks like now, ATAPI CD-ROM emulation is a really cool feature too!
I was a bit concerned since it's been so long since there was last an update but the outcome looks great - I'm glad it's gone in the picogus / swiss-army-knife direction now 😀
That sounds just great, now do I need one or would have I the use for one, and I'm afraid the answer is probably not, other interests and all that.
Still going to answer your survey.
And I posted a link to your video on a french forum where some people might be interested.

Some progress on CD-ROM Emulation & CD Audio
That's awesome, Kevin. CD emulation workis amazingly stable and easy to setup.
How's that possible that Windows CD player takes over form DOS player? Or am I getting it wrong?
Exciting. Can't wait for IDE drive emulation (even if it sacrifices the sound).

Does it really matter for the end user if it's IDE or Panasonic interface being emulated ?
CDDA emulation is very impressive.
Do you intend for eventual buy-in build cards to be 'ultra-compact'?
Eg, microSD on underside of pcmcia card, and 'fully hidden' when inserted?
Bits and bobs hanging off such cards have always been a significant source of failure, in my experience.
Imagine a Pico with different sound sources from Adlib to Sound Blaster, GUS, CD emulation (loading ISO files and music/audio files) with CDDA, and all of that using commands to switch from one to the other.
Unless that's too much, but that would be cool to have.

This is actually what it does. SB, Adlib, CD can work simultaneously. The GUS is in the pipeline too.

Well, CD-ROM drives can be Panasonic's interface. IDE? That's both CD-ROMs and storage.
And that's why I'm interested. HP 100LX's can benefit from a dual NE2K/IDE-to-SD Card interface. Sound's a bit gravy to me.
