Hi all,
I've upgraded my system with my Shuttle 591P (Apollo MVP3). Windows 98SE.
I noticed that the system would reboot instead of shutting down and some posts here on Vogons suggested I should reinstall without ACPI which is poorly implemented in Win98SE.
I tried using setup /p i but somehow it would not work with my unformatted HDD so I popped into the BIOS and disabled ACPI.
Windows installed ok BUT it refuses to load a driver for my USB mouse and keyboard. When I plug a mouse I have "setup cannot load the installer (hidci.dll) for the HID hardware being installed". The USB controller is listed, no exclamation marks and I've loaded the appropriate VIA drivers.
I'll re-install with ACPI enabled - any ideas on how to proceed?
Thanks!
