Can I submit a pitiful score from a Pentium 4M?

I might actually come back with one soon enough - P4 2.8GHz, Radeon M10 (Mobility 9600). Desktop chip, socket 478. Will update this post once done.

Of course!

Well, this is the best I could do before GPU started spazzing out, unfortunately.
I would have gone back to redo it with a GPU-Z window attached but considering the power brick was at its limit (this one requires a 6.3A charger and the only one I have is a 4.7A) I figured I should not push my luck...
Specs:

• ECS Green 736 laptop
• Pentium 4 2.8GHz Northwood, SL6Z5 (yes, this absolute bricc of a laptop runs on a desktop SL6Z5. No wonders it gets atrociously hot.)
• 768MB DDR-333 (1x512MB + 1x256MB)
• 80GB Samsung HDD
• 15 inch 1440x1050 LCD
• XP SP3

2003 crashes the GPU on me, 2000 will not even run.

Here's a completely pointless run on my WinBook X4 (ECS Green550).
CPU - Pentium 4M (Northwood) @2.0Ghz, socket 487 mPGA
GPU - Chipset integrated graphics, SiS 651, SMA VRAM
RAM: 512MB
3DMark 2000 Score: 3172

Now I'm going to go bench my Inspiron 9100, which I suspect will do much better with proper ATI graphics and a full desktop prescott chip inside. I'm curious to see whether it or PCBytes' G736 will do better.

9100 run is done.
CPU - Pentium 4 (Prescott) @2.80GHz
GPU - ATI Mobility Radeon 9700
RAM - 768MB
3DMark 2001 Score: 9877
Ran at native 1280x800.

Might also bench my ThinkPad T30 at some point.
What about my Pentium D (Presler) desktop? Those are netburst after all.

I have a quite a few Abit motherboards supporting P4. My question is: Cedar mill is allowed or only Willamette/Northwood/Prescott?

Personally, I'd say it should be since it's Netburst as well. (actually, everything from Willamette up to Presler should be Netburst architecture, IIRC)

But I'd wait and see what @supercordo has to say.

Yes I know, this board should have a lot more potential and i'm sure it has. However, this comes closest to my computer i had when this was considered modern 😀

All of netburst. Ill make new brackets as the benchmarks come in. With that said, you still need to participate in aiming for the stars. Stock benchmarks will no longer be accepted. Put some effort into overclocking the system.

How does one overclock a laptop I wonder? Would my 9100 even support it? I don't think I should try until I get around to tearing it apart and replacing the thermal paste... and I'm all out of thermal paste...

The biggest hurdle would be cooling if you could manage to figure out how to overclock it.

A few minutes of web searching revealed some clues: The GPU seems overclockable, but the CPU does not seem overclockable because its PLL is not supported by software-based FSB-setting software.

To be honest I wouldn't attempt doing a OC on the ECS G736.
It runs hot as it is now - OC-ing on it would likely require radioactive liquid nitrogen cooling 🤣

You can change it if you have an unlocked P4. Which is very rare. I think Engineering samples were unlocked.
