Hi All, I am restoring a failed Pentium IV system with Windows XP on it, and I have it up and running again (needed a motherboard replacement - lots of failed capacitors on the original mobo) but it now seems to want me to Activate it again, something that is no longer possible - the MS activation servers no longer online. I have read lots of articles via Google that point me to a tool called Universal MS Key Toolkit, umskt.exe, which can generate an Activation code without need of those servers.
Regrettably, all I can find for umskt.exe are links to Github, where I can download source to my hearts content, but no executables. I am not Github-friendly and so this is not really terribly helpful.
Can ANYONE point me to a prebuilt version of UMSKT.EXE? I can use the DOS version, the Windows 2000 version (or any Windows version lower than that) or pretty much any Mac OS X or macOS version - an executable for any one of these will allow me to move forward.
Any and all help much appreciated!
