Can anybody help me with this? Although most games work fine on DosBox, at least 2 games are just simply UN-PLAYABLE as they seem to think I'm constantly holding the joystick in one direction. I can't even select anything from the game's menu because it's constantly cycling though the menu items. Other games in DosBox don't do this though and work fine with my game-pad. Why do some games work, but other games think I'm constantly holding the joystick in one direction? What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Analogue gameport is being measured by charging/decharging time of capacitors, ie it's timing-sensitive.
So unless the gameport is speed-compensated, it's just normal that some games have trouble.

How old are these trouble makers, if I may ask? Are these games from 80s or early 90s?
If so, I would try running them at slower speed.
At DOS prompt, enter: cycles=fixed 3000 (return)
That's speed of a slow 286/386 PC.

Good luck! 🙂
