It is not working entirely yet, but MCI mail will return to the Internet, one of these days. 😀

Not being from the USA I hadn't even heard of MCI mail till just now but I do love old client/server type programs so will watch with interest

Haha, maybe! I don't know if there's anything in Packard Bell Navigator that needs restoring. For Bob underlaying mail system (MCI mail) had a proprietary protocol that's not documented anywhere.

I've been reverse engineering it based on some DLLs shipped with Bob and other MCI mail clients.

I'm planning to host a MCI compatible service to resurrect this once I have the whole protocol figured out.
