I could comb for code bits where the pieces are needed on these excellent map projects.

All the special stuff for bsp2 loading is happening in gl_model.c and model.c for software. Iirc, the sizes are changed in model.h for the structs.
Beyond that, the engine needs to support fitzquake protocol.
If I ran into a mod/map with use of the extensions, it shouldn't be overly difficult to add the code (especially given the code is in one spot apart from the protocol).
The warp/quoth mod is pretty neat! The models are missing the textures (in qdos/fx); I'll read your previous posts again for hints. 😀
They should not be missing them. Delete your GLQUAKE directory from ID1 and try again.
Did you put quoth in it's own special directory?
fitzquake-dos works with the models, just checked.
You may or may not need "Quoth Part Two" apparently I have this in my quoth directory as well. If you're still having issues I could just zip the whole thing up for you.
That's nice to offer. I think I got the complete version of quoth (~51mb). Edit: tried deleting glquake/ without effect.
Are they missing models or did you just see a warning? I just tested it myself and everything is fine. If theres a GLQUAKE dir in /warp or /quoth delete that too.
Let me try that.
Quoth complete is about 131MB btw with part 2 added on.
Thanks, I'll redo. Fitzquake-dos is showing the models. Edit: I forgot quoth2!
Warp should be about 82mb as well.. There was a patch for some missing skins.
That must be it. I never could install a mod correctly. 😀
I'll just zip up the whole thing and send it, may take a bit. I'm not even sure where to find the original files anymore.
I bet its long file names!
It works now. I started the lfn capable dosbox. I randomly choose which dosbox to run typically!
Yeah, with large mods LFN is practically required. Same with QuakeWorld. QW and large mods all came after DOS so nobody cared about 8.3 anymore.
I didn't realize that. The mod looks excellent and the melee combat is original.
Edit: thanks for the help!
No problem. A really good old school mod that will play on anything is Beyond Belief.
For Quake 2... a really good one I thought was 1964. SGC10 and SGC11 are two other great Quake 2 ones. A while ago, Knightmare sent me a huge directory of about 300 some SP maps and mods for Quake 2.
