It does not matter if you are at the C: prompt or the D: prompt. The cycles command is part of DOSBox.

As wd said, you also have to install the game from DOSBox. Read my 60 Seconds Guide to DOSBox (and don't just read it - follow it too).

If that doesn't help, come back with details on how you mounted your C and D drives, how you did the install, how you configured sound, music etc.

I have read and already follow the instruction to do ( Read my 60 Seconds Guide to DOSBox )...
but i haven't CM2 cd NOW (I lost it ) , so I can't to do this step !!

Have a look at the files with the dir command, and see if you can spot an install or and a setup program or whatever the command to start the installation is called. Check your Manual/Installation Guide for MyGame for the exact command to use.

Configure sound, configure graphics, ...

A safe bet with configuring sound, is to select General MIDI or SoundBlaster. Don't try stuff like Gravis Ultrasound (GUS) or Adlib. If you are asked about details like IO/IRQ/DMA/High DMA addresses when configuring the game to use SoundBlaster for sound, use IO = 220, IRQ = 7, DMA = 1 (and sometimes High DMA = 5).

you ARE extremely confused it seems... Best way is to buy the game somewhere online (ebay for example). Then follow the guide.
If you don't have the CD you don't need to follow the parts of the guide that refer to the CD. It's quite hilarious to see you mounting your D:\ drive and trying to install the game from there when there is not the CD in drive D:\
As for everything else, where is CM2 installed to on your hard drive? You can't change directory to CM2 when you have mounted c: as c and CM2 is not in c:\...

Maybe someone ought to lock this thread, since it doesn't seem to be about a legit copy anyway...

Got my CM2 97/98 to work.
It seems to take ages to load the database.
Otherwise it has been perfect. Thanks to Dosbox!

Because when you mount your real D-drive as C-drive in DOSBox, you are still on DOSBox's Z-drive. After the mounting DOSBox do not know anything about your real D-drive, all it knows is the C-drive.

6000 cycles is very, very slow. Try 10000, 20000 or 30000. How high you can go depends on how fast your real PC is.
