Can You please report latest version of Rready? 3/Feb/25?

5th February 2025 (RLauncher should report 3rd Feb 2025). I did update the store page today. There was a reference to an HD400 being the minimum GPU for RRedline apps, I changed it to HD4000.

If you use a stock carset, more tracks will work. I'll post an update on the RReady thread.
I've managed to patch icr2 to do these things:
1) Allocate a full block of RAM, as much as himem reports (register edx) .
2) Register more than 65536 of RAM per memory block.
3) there's an int 31 call which does something strange and I have no idea what it's supposed to do. Need to find some documentation on dos/4gw. I have some info, but the specific call is missing. This call might be allocating selectors for memory blocks, but I don't know., if it is it needs to be changed to use a universal selector.

I have a Rendition Verite V2200 4MB AGP and I really like how it runs Resident Evil.
The card has 4 IS of 1MB... Is it worth replacing them with 4x2MB?
I remember I did the test between a 4mb and a 8mb with 3dmark the difference was noticeable.
Good day to all! I ask Tiido and those who can help me understand how to turn a 4 MB card into an 8/16 MB card to respond? Physically, such a card exists. But even with drivers for the 8 MB version, the system only sees 4 MB. We are talking about Diamond with a v2100 chip. Perhaps the problem is in the chip? Or is it possible to replace/add resistors or something else? Thanks in advance for any help

You need to mod the BIOS. *This is risk*. RReady, the rendition wrapper mods the V1000 BIOS it uses at runtime to support 16 MB. But I haven't successully modded a V2000 BIOS to work with it.
[EDIT] It's entirely possible V1000 boards don't have the necessary hardware to support more than 4 MB. Just because it works for the wrapper doesn't mean it'll work for physical hardware.

If you mean the v1x00 I don't know, if you mean the v2xx version you don't need a modified bios.
Increase the memory amount requires to swap the chips and add some cables, Tiido did it some years ago.

Thank you! The memory chips have already been replaced. The card works, but, as I said above, it still sees the same 4 mb. I have no idea what to do next

The card that has been upgraded already had 8mb. What card do you have?
That is my model (actually I think it's a cheap no name model):

If it still detects only 4mb I think the problem could be the missing address lines.

Different layout then. Have you verified the pinout of the old memory chips and the new ones?
No, I don't think so. I didn't do the transplant, and the master hardly took this into account
p.s. as far as I remember, I checked it in Quake (triple buff on) - with 4 mb this causes known problems

So you are saying that who swapped the memory chips didn't take care of the new address lines with bodge wires? Well you have the answer where the problem is.
Thank you very much! I myself am not very good at such things. I hope the master will easily fix the problem)

Well the so called "master" should have been aware of this issue if he is knowledgeable.
That's how the card Tiido modified:
Good luck
