I have a Hercules 3D Prophet 4000XT AGP that won't post. It had 3 bulging caps to I replaced them, no change. I cleaned the card and can see no damage.

Booting with a PCI graphics card shows that Windows does actually detect the Kryo. I installed drivers and after rebooting Windows 98 tells me that it cannot initialize the card.

Any other suggestions? I am assuming the core is dead.

Maybe replace all the electrolytic caps. The non bulging ones may be bad too .

It has 9x tiny 10v 22uF caps. I suppose I can try and replace those.

Hi, any progress? I have a card with very similar behaviour.

Did you try reflashing the BIOS?

To all the friends of Mister Kyro

This thread is has been dormant for over 4 years and the OP has not visited Vogons since 2022. While it would be nice to get some degree of closure on this, I doubt it will happen.
