Really depends on your tastes, but I'd say S2 is "safer" it is very well balanced, and sounds good with basically all GM tracks.
E-Wave is bass heavy, so this can be good or bad depending on the game. This also makes it sound more unique with it's own character. Hence I use it a lot more than my S2.
Personally, QWave is my favorite though. 😀
