Hi all,
Is there any chance this ISA riser could be made to work on this LPX motherboard, or would I be setting myself up for magic smoke?
In the photo the riser is lying flat on the motherboard next to the riser connector to show the different pin layout.
Mechanically the riser fits the slot (tried without power) and the contacts seem to connect well, except of course where the board connector has more pins than the riser.
I'm not familiar with this stuff, so happy to get any information or recommendation.
Some background: the riser is from my Packard Bell Pack-mate 486. Its motherboard is in bad shape and has irrecoverable battery damage. The motherboard shown I got secondhand without its original riser. I couldn't find a manual online for it, but I think it is from a Compaq ProLinea 4/66: I can confirm these numbers on the board: spare part 164560-001, Assembly 003760.
