hi all! first time posting here. 😀 i'm a bit of a noob with retro hardware and i had a couple questions about a 486 i recently picked up from ebay.

i have an IBM PS/ValuePoint 433 DX/Si and it came in nearly immaculate condition save for some moderate dust buildup inside the case. i'm not sure if i want to completely max out everything i can quite yet, but i was mostly wondering where i'd be able to find some L2 cache/VRAM memory upgrades. the documentation i found online says the L2 cache sockets can support a max of 256KB, and the VRAM can be expanded to 512KB to make a 1MB total for the base 512K on board. i'm not 100% sure what i'm looking for, so if anyone here could put me in right direction of what to buy and look for, i'd really appreciate it!

For video ram you need 4 ic's similar/like this:https://www.ebay.com/itm/200742372430?hash=it … ABk9SR96p4ZqNYg
For cache 10 ic's similar/like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/334014774336?hash=it … ABk9SR7LCipuNYg, if you buy it like a kit, specify the seller you need 10, not 9, one extra for database cache.
Mind the key when you insert them in to the sockets.

I can confirm that those chips work. I do have the same machine and I've upgraded to 256kb of external cache.
The jumpers circled in red must be set in 2-3 position.
