Invited the family over to my place for a Canada day pancake brekky! w00t w00t!

I love pancakes. I can enjoy it with anything over it, from a simple butter, to jam and why not peanut butter... yummy.

I ate these things (the toppings, not the pancakes) with waffles some weeks ago.

I'm a bit of a weirdo when it comes to how I enjoy my pancakes. I usually blend up a strawberry/banana/orange/mango/froyo smoothie and pour it over 10 or so pancakes. Then I drown the entire thing in maple syrup and put a bunch of whipped cream on top. It's the bees knees, man. The absolute cat's jammies.

Do you do them delicately, crepe style, or more robustly with whole wheat, buckwheat, or corn flower?

I love pancakes, probably my favourite food, so I'm genuinely interested.

I made some Danish inspired Cornish Pasty. Let's just call them Danish-Pasty-Pie. I used pizza dough and made this minced beef stew, that I stuffed them with. I made sure that the stew is nearly without any sauce. More or less a dry stew, and I used whipping cream, in order to keep the smoothness of the texture intact. This is to prevent them from leaking when being baked. They are for my daughters lunch at school.

Anyone want to come to Shandong to eat some cicada with me? You'd better hurry up before they get through the pupa stage, or else they'll be too crunchy.

That’a a Northern Chinese banquet thing and not a daily staple (kinda like crawfish). I would be totally down for some Chapauline toastadas, though.

Oooh I love both of those things and yes they do complement each other - your ratios are a little out though 😁

I did eat half of the bag, before I took the picture. Another good thing, is that the beer is not of same type each can. It is as if the beer used, are a mix of different brews. They change colour from each can.

A bit long since I posted any food here. I had my daughter over for dinner the other day. We had minced beef in brown gravy on top of mashed potato. And yes, it is made from scratch and mashed by hand. Nothing of that foul powder crap. For drinking, we had some apple juice.

Also...
I had "Smørrebrød" some time ago. Two times Danish roast beef with remolade and crispy onions, one leverpostej with salt-meat and finally one rullepølse with remolade and crispy onions.

I wolfed down an entire pumpkin pie last night; one I had fully intended to save until Thanksgiving. Oops.
Welp, guess I'll just have to eat another one on Monday.

A couple of days ago, I made what we call "Swedish Sausage Dish" here in Denmark. Recepie varies from family to family. Mine is cubes of precooked potatoes, onions and vienna sausages (the type that have red coloured skin). Cooked in a cream sauce with paprika and tomato pure.

The other is what I had for supper last night. A simple taco salad, using the triangle corn-chips instead of taco-shell's. Cheese is missing, because I do not eat it. Instead I used some good 38% sour cream instead. And jalapeno's. Lots of it, because they are healthy and I love the heat. Plus the taste of them are so wonderfull.
