Level shifting wasn't needed before because I fully implemented the VGA functionality on the V4 M4800 (as in it already outputs 5V HSYNC/VSYNC, and has 5V DDC support). Again, this was only for bring-up purposes, so I didn't care if it's not MXM compliant, since it wasn't supposed to be used 😀

On the regular M4800 I sent you, it doesn't care for HDMI HPD and EDID, as all that stuff is on the board. On the Llama edition, I routed those to the MXM connector.

Got it! I'll make the changes and reach out to you when I'm done, so we can compare schematics? 😀

@Eivind I am both excited and curios about this project. Would you please care to share current status?

Cheers.

Not much news to report - haven't really had time to work on this much lately. I'd say the project is 95% done though, so I should really concentrate on getting it across the finishing line!
2025 ftw! 😀

What incidentals would one need to procure once this TinyLlama 3 is ready. I have a Mister, but was looking for something more 486-ish dedicated for DOS/early-Windows and stumbled across this project. I am not family with the arduino or that chip that I am seeing at the github for the earlier TinyLlamas, but I would like to start gathering those pieces that I can while waiting... Would someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction? I'd love to see if I can get my 80's BBS back up and running!

Master of pixels, ones and zeros. My first video game console was Pong...and it's well past time to re-live my childhood...

Hello there,

If you want to get something soon and have most of your needs covered, I suggest the ITX Llama (https://github.com/eivindbohler/itxllama)
There is a discord server https://discord.gg/5Xwj6pAF for a group buy if you want to get it cheaper. If you are willing to spare more money to have one sooner, you can always take the gerber files and have it PCBA via different manufacturers.
