Currently, it looks for the config :-
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\DOSBox\dosbox-{version}.conf
Anyway, to "tell" DOSBox to "look" into current running folder ?

I think the info in the readme should cover this.
check how dosbox is started (the shortcuts) and check the readme what the various switches do and in which order dosbox parses them

I'm not sure if my question fits this thread (my english is not that good 🙄 ) anyways:
I use dosbox0.72 (no D-Fend or things like that, just the dosbox) and I would like to know, if there is an order to always mount the DOSBox-folder, whereever I put it.
So I can write for exemple "mount c (order I don't know)\dosbox\" instead of "mount c c:\programme\dosbox\"?
yes add it to the configfile.
And please consider updating to 0.74,
which is a lot better than 0.72
