Re: Problem with the X-Fi Titanium HD series cards.

I've read on various support topics that certain motherboards don't cope well with the PCIe x-fi cards. But everyone seems to point the finger at the motherboard manufactures or Microsoft while half of everyone else points the finger at Creative for shoddy drivers. I'm at a crossroads at who the …

Re: Problem with the X-Fi Titanium HD series cards.

@sklawz I'm tempted to just try that should I find a replacement mainboard for my system. Thanks. Which sysinternals application are you referring to though? Also I don't think the Synth on my x-fi is software based, as everytime I try to record it "through windows audio, WSAPI" it does not capture …

Re: Getting Shogo to work on a 64bit?

in Windows
I've gotten Blood II: The Chosen, which is very similar to Shogo: Mobile Armor Division to work on x64 Windows through simply copying the files over from the drive. You'll have to use universal extractor on the 16-bit installer files to get the registry keys though. It's alot easier to just find a …

Re: Problem with the X-Fi Titanium HD series cards.

Happens on anything that uses the synth, games and MIDI music in general. I'm not liking the signs of this seeing you apparently have virtually the same specs as me. Could my card be defective at this point? Hell I can't even load the SF2 that Doom64 EX uses without it crackling once everytime …

Re: Problem with the X-Fi Titanium HD series cards.

I'm skeptical that Creative's support would offer any assistance. My card is refurbished and not only that, no matter which driver I use it results in the same popping sound. It even happens on the CT2MGM.SF2 file which loads as default, the only time I NEVER experience the popping sound is with …

Problem with the X-Fi Titanium HD series cards.

Not sure if anyone's ever had this issue but, the SF synth on this device occasionally starts blasting LOUD clicking sounds for no apparent reason when certain patches are attempted to play. The problem goes away after another note on the patch that "crackled" is played again and will no long occur …

Re: Hellbender on Windows7 (Direct3D 6?)

in Windows
By the way, it works in D3D on Windows 7 on RadeonHD, but the lack of table fog (which no Radeon can do) makes the horizon do trails, and the menu bar will flicker. It only functions in D3D in fullscreen because some video cards back then only unleashed their 3d power in a fullscreen exclusive …

Re: Hellbender on Windows7 (Direct3D 6?)

in Windows
I don't get colour problems, so that's no worry. Even Fury3 never gave me colour problems, the only game I've had such a error was Age of Empires II. This game however, is a CPU resource hog. Fully maxes out a single core on my quad core Phenom II. Hellbender is supposed to work with D3D 6.0, but …

Hellbender on Windows7 (Direct3D 6?)

in Windows
Forgive me if this has been posted in the past, but I can't seem to get Hellbender to render in D3D on my system. Is this due to DirectX 11\Windows 7? Compatibility mode only makes the audio lag, does not appear to make a difference in graphics though. I only have Home Premium so I cannot use the …
