I can't find anything yet but can tell from your good pics that the board only supports 33Mhz 386 and has 32k cache. Comparing to the later rev on Stason.org would say with great confidence that SW1 is for cache size and SW2 is for ram size. It appears the cache is set to 32k and ram is set for 4Mb. …

Could be a supply issue. Do you have a digital voltmeter ? If so check the volts while it is connected to the motherboard and turned on. page 44 of the manual shows the CMOS clear jumper (J48). Are you sure the ram is good ? Have seen old boards report bad video card when the ram was the real issue. Also if trying an ISA card put it in one of the ISA/VLB slots or the ISA nearest the PSU power connectors.

NV20 is a Geforce 3. Probably a Geforce Ti-200 based on the fan and heatsink size. I see a part/board number in top right but can't make it out, can you take take a better "non angled" picture ?

Thanks for all the tips. I have a Asus P.Pro board with soldered DS12B887 that needs a new battery and do not want to unsolder the old timer if at all possible. Going to try the add-on ext.battery method first.

The CT2940 is a Plug-N-Play card and it appears you have the Creative PNP drivers CTCM and CTCU installed. Have you also run CTCU from a DOS prompt to see what it says ? An observation: using a PNP sound card on a 486 build can be done but you would be better off to get an earlier non PNP version …
