Re: Help with Tracking down drivers or demos for BitBoys / Tritech Pyramid 3D *Update, SDK/Demos, OpenGL MCD found!*

Finally got the captures done. I got the OSSC to get the VGA signal converted and line-doubled into HDMI and then captured that with the USB3HDCAP. I also put the card in my 600MHz PIII Windows 98 machine as the P133 I was testing with was quite underpowered. Demos captured are Eagle, Warrior and …

Re: Help with Tracking down drivers or demos for BitBoys / Tritech Pyramid 3D *Update, SDK/Demos, OpenGL MCD found!*

Today I worked on getting the SDK demos captured. Since the USB3HDCAP didn't like the VGA signal, I realized I could try passing it through my Extron VSC700 video scan converter. Unfortunately it did not like the small (512x384) resolution either. I decided to try to change the resolution of the …

Re: Help with Tracking down drivers or demos for BitBoys / Tritech Pyramid 3D *Update, SDK/Demos, OpenGL MCD found!*

According to some articles there were "stacks" of boards done and going around. To me the most interesting part of the card is the programmable pixel pipeline. Pixel shaders were really only available when GeForce 3 was launched in 2001. Not sure yet how flexible in practice it is as it was mainly …

Yes absolutely. There is some info about the plans in this doc: https://vgamuseum.info/images/doc/unreleased/pyramid3d/tritechpyramid3dpresentation.pdf It says: • Initial design (sampling 3Q97) – 100 MHz clock frequency – 0.6 µm 3 layer metal process – 13 × 13 mm2 area (est.) • Production version ( …

Re: Help with Tracking down drivers or demos for BitBoys / Tritech Pyramid 3D *Update, SDK/Demos, OpenGL MCD found!*

According to some documentation (vs203_103.pdf) the default clock is 50MHz. The NT driver changes the clock to 60MHz for rev 2 and later chips. The VLSI branded (they continued the work with different focus after Tritech was out) chips were run at 200MHz and up with active cooling. What I'm saying …

Re: Help with Tracking down drivers or demos for BitBoys / Tritech Pyramid 3D *Update, SDK/Demos, OpenGL MCD found!*

Can you see your revision from somewhere? It says this in the SDK CD, ERRATA.TXT Re: Errata List for Pyramid3D TR25202 revision B.03 1. PCI Bus Master Status: There is a compatibility problem in the PCI bus master. Include are the P3D API dll for "On" and "Off " bus mastering. The setup program will …

Re: Help with Tracking down drivers or demos for BitBoys / Tritech Pyramid 3D *Update, SDK/Demos, OpenGL MCD found!*

What kind of setup do you have (CPU/chipset)? Do you have chipset drivers installed? In the beyond3d forum Nappe1 said you basically need Intel chipset (440BX/EX) to get bus mastering (DMA transfers) working. You could also try another PCI slot and check that the slot does not share resources with …

Re: Help with Tracking down drivers or demos for BitBoys / Tritech Pyramid 3D *Update, SDK/Demos, OpenGL MCD found!*

Great, you got the drivers from him too! He indeed found the files so shipping the floppy wasn't necessary. He did tell me the zip contains some things that shouldn't be shared though. I was going to make a stripped version of it. Which version of the driver did you test? "P3DNT" with the separate …
