I think the Banshee would be a great fit. The Voodoo 3000 seems to be CPU limited by the slow Vortex86EX.

Perfect!
I recently picked up a Banshee, but I haven't tested it yet.
It looks like it is in really good condition and the previous owner stuck a fan on the heat sink so maybe it lived a cool life.

I'm going to use the Llama for my main dos gaming machine. It's tiny form should make it easier to keep things clean an compact.
I also grabbed this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CCLDZJ8F case for the build. It seemed fitting, but I guess it will need to be modified for the AGP slot. I may end up changing it out or heavily modifying it to fit a CD drive.

I'm pretty excited for this, it actually feels like a proper Christmas gift. Now if it just didn't cost so much money 😀

Has anyone had much luck with any of the demoscene productions running correctly on the ITX Llama? Specifically the audio.

I've tried both Second Reality and Crystal Dreams II and both have have crackly audio that sounds like it's missing half the audio channels or pops and whistles instead of the audio tracks.

Can you upload it to your phone and give us a link?

Here is a link to the demo on Pouet: https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=63

I've tried a couple other demos with similar results.

Here is a video of how it's behaving.

Have you tried slowing down the machine? Not sure if Second Reality is speed sensitive, but it was made for 486s.

There is also a patch for the demo that fixes some issues with faster machines: Re: Future Crew's "Second Reality" Demo won't run properly under DOSBox 0.7x

I have. I went through all the sub 300mhz speeds and disabled both caches and it still results in the same thing.

I was thinking about it last night and honestly it almost sounds like PC speaker/beeper like sound. Which makes wonder if its some kind of audio driver issue.

I know the drivers for the audio are baked into the bios.

I got the same result with Second Reality as you. Tried all kinds of things (patched the demo, slowed down cpu speed, disabled OPL module etc) but always got crackly audio.
