Well it worked. I used the 60613 - 6-13-96 one. I got the same image as you did and it then proceeded to boot from floppy. I then hooked up a sd2ide drive and it even booted to a dos prompt also. I then re tried the edo ram stick and they worked fine in bank 0 previously not. So good to get a result …

Hmm, If I looked into the correct manual, 2 times 16MB EDO should work either in both bank 0 and bank 1. So I would say your 2 times 16MB are not working in the board. But (weird!) 2 times 8MB should only work in bank 1. So something is wrong. Are you sure the board is a "PCPartner MB500N"? But …

You may try to set the cpu at 100MHz, that relieves all stress on it so you'll probably the that one out. If that works you may have encountered one of the many remarked ones. Unfortunately removed all cache jumpers and still the same. I even unplugged the keyboard waited for the error message plugged it in and hit f1. It then did the same thing. Cant reset pc either.

This is my first battery corrosion removal process of a 386 board. Just after feedback. The underside of the board had no damage. I plan to re tin and then coat with either green nail polish or try and get formal coating. Thanks for looking

Ok. After jumpering the turbo the landmark test is back at 40mhz. Cache chips now return 59 u/s but i think i fried the FPU as it reads 4.5mhz. Bummer

Ouch. That poor thing is rediculously slow. Have you tried to run the tests with cache disabled and perhaps even physically removed from the board? I'd parity active or disabled?
